Weaving Basics with Recycled Textiles - Saturday 9/28 @ 3 - 4 PM

This one-hour long workshop introduces participants to the basics of weaving. It begins with a background presentation on the art of weaving in two different parts of the world: Guatemala and Sweden, emphasizing how recycled textiles have been used to weave throughout history. Participants will learn basic weaving techniques using re-purposed and recycled materials. All are welcome to bring materials from home that they would like to integrate into their projects.

Tunnel Books - Sunday 9/29 @ 10:30 - 11:30 AM

The tunnel book structure is an exciting way to explore image and structure in a layered format. Cut-outs within the pages allow for the creation of an engaging diorama effect for viewer. In this one-hour workshop participants will use rubber stamps and other collage materials to create a simple tunnel book structure. Materials will be provided but participants may bring collage materials of their own.

Cross-Stitch for Beginners - Sunday 9/29 @ 12 - 1 PM
